Where does life take you after touring with some top musicians like Keith Urban and Reba McEntire? For bassist Joeie Canaday, the tour ended up in Bend, Oregon. After meeting his wife in the crowd of a Keith Urban concert, where he was on stage playing bass at the Les Schwab Amphitheater, Canaday made the decision to move to Bend and become a real estate broker so that he could help other people achieve the same dream of living the Central Oregon lifestyle.
Joeie’s life has been based around music since he first picked up a bass guitar at the age of six. His first record deal at the age of nine led to a 20 year career in Nashville as a touring and studio musician for more artists than you can name. After retiring from music, Canaday compares the feeling he gets when he finds a family their perfect home to how he felt on stage, performing for thousands.
